The CES 2014 is now active, we are bringing you all the latest happenings directly from the LVCC, in Vegas. We have seen various launches in the CES 2014, some we were already waiting for and some came up as surprise. 
Having said that, Huawei has launched a new smartphone in the market during the CES. The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 is a LTE enabled smartphone, the device features a 6.1 inch HD display which has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor and Mali 450 as GPU. Huawei also confirmed that the Mate 2 4G will have two options for its quad-core 1.6GHz, one is Qualcomm’s MSM8928, and the other is Huawei’s HiSilicon Cortex-A9 chip. The Huwaei Ascend Mate 2 is packed with a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded with help of Micro SD card.
Huawei Ascend Mate  2 sports a 13 MP primary camera which does full HD video and a 5 MP secondary camera which is capable of HD video. This new smartphone is an upgrade to the Ascend which had a 8 MP camera. This device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with company’s own skin ‘Emotion 2′, the Ascend 2 is packed with a 4050 mAh battery which should last a full day. However, a reverse charging feature is present which allows the phone to charge other devices. Stay tuned for our Hands On this device.
